My Points

I've participated in My Points program for about a year now. Most of my points have been earned doing surveys or checking out "clickthru" ads that come via email... very easy. So far, I've used the points I've earned to get a $25 B & N gift card and now I have enough to get a $50 GC. I'm thinking about Kohl's.

The most points I've earned at one time was 1,000 to try out Netflix which we really like and were thinking about getting anyway. A few days ago I earned another 1,000 points by buying the 2009 Entertainment Book ($19.50). I've wanted to try it because there are several featured restaurants near us that we already go to. I figured that using coupons twice would recoup the $19.50. Has anyone else tried the entertainment.com book and do you think it's worth the cost?

    I have the entertainment book. We buy it from our girls school. It is a fundraiser for them. I usually use enough coupons to recoup the cost and then some. However, I never use nearly ALL the coupons...it is just impossible.

    Mypoints is a great program. I've been with them since . . ??? Well, since at least 2004 (although I think it's actually longer than that.)

    For a single person, the Entertainment book isn't of much value anymore. There used to be much more useful coupons in it.

    frugaltexan75 - Yes, I have to agree that for a single person the Entertainment book is not a good deal, especially since most of the coupons are tied to saving on a second meal or entree.

    I use mypoints all the time. I usually cash in my points for gas cards. I used ebates.com for the Entertainment book. They where offering $6.00 cash back. If anyone needs a link for ebates.com, let me know, we will both make $5.00.

    The other two sites I use are mrrebates.com and winster.com. Love them all.

    We use the Entertainment book occasionally too--enough to pay for it and some more. It's good to get a bonus with it. I also offer the coupons I know I won't use on Freecycle. I hope someone can use them, and almost always get takers.

    I like the idea of giving away the coupons you don't use on Freecycle. I will check it out.

    My Mom get the entertainment book every year as a holiday gift from her boos. Her and Dads never use them all, so she shares them with us.

    I just cashed in with My Points for a $25 GC to target. Can't wait to get it!

    I've been with MyPoints for about a year and a half. I rarely buy anything on the websites it takes me to, but I still have collected enough for two $25 Cracker Barrel cards (or is it 3?) I don't know ... I'm due for another one soon. I love the Cracker Barrel cards for traveling.

    Mypoints is great! I use it to get CVS cards that pays for my prescription.
