Wrap-N-Mats I bought came in the mail. While we're in Guatemala later this year, we'll have to pack a sandwich for lunch to work every day so my motivation to buy them was related to this foreseen need. I like these little contraptions because they're a reusable wrap and also create a "place mat" for eating. They're made of food-safe materials (free of lead, BPA, and Phthalate), have a liner that is easily cleaned, and it stays secure with a small Velcro strap. These will come in handy whenever we travel and pack a picnic lunch. Best of all, we can reduce of use of plastic lunch bags that take over 1,000 years to decompose in landfills!

These look like a great idea. My girls take their lunch to school every day and we go through a lot of sandwich bags. I'm going to rush off and order this product! Thanks for the info.

    Interesting.

We are a big fan of "disposable" plastic tupperware. We have some kid ones I use all the time, we reuse the containers our roast beef comes in, and we have disposable sanwchich containers. Lord knows why you'd dispose of them. They've all held up perfect for years. Just another sign of the times I guess. Though the kiddie ones were nice when we'd lose them half the time. Now I use them for my fruits/veggies at work. I don't remember the last time I used a plastic baggie. Even BM is good about not throwing them out by accident (I was worried when he started Kinder if we would lose some).

Interesting. We use a lot of reusable plastic tupperware.I prefer the tupperware because I don't eat a lot of sandwiches (mainly eat leftovers) and I don't like squished sandwiches. But for packing for a trip, those would fit better.

I've been aware of these, but have not yet bought them. We switched from plastic baggies, to wax paper bags. My goal is to move toward better enviromental choices...so many of them are financially rewarding, too!
